Hibiscus is delighted to welcome Samuel (Sam) Pass, a qualified DGSA Trainer to the Hibiscus team as our new Training Manager.
Sam joins us with more than 15 years of experience working with Dangerous Goods, spanning aviation, chemical manufacturing, and logistics. Over that time, he’s developed a strong reputation for his technical knowledge, practical teaching style, and deep commitment to safety, compliance, and best practice.
Experienced DGSA Trainer with Industry Expertise
Sam has built a strong reputation throughout his career for delivering practical, engaging, and technically accurate training. His experience spans:
- Air cargo operations
- Chemical manufacturing environments
- Dangerous goods compliance and auditing
- Classroom-based DGSA instruction
This breadth of knowledge allows him to translate complex regulations into clear, applicable guidance for delegates taking the courses. This is a big bonus for effective DGSA Training.
Enhancing DGSA Training and Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
At Hibiscus, Sam will be leading our DGSA Training courses, including our 5-day DGSA qualification programme, as well as supporting Dangerous Goods Awareness Training for businesses handling hazardous materials. Other courses will also focus on the correct, safe, and compliant handling of hazardous materials. His goal is simple — to make Dangerous Goods training engaging, accessible, and truly effective for every delegate who attends. You can expect:
- Clear explanations of regulatory requirements
- Real-world examples from industry experience
- A strong focus on compliance and risk reduction
For organisations seeking DGSA Training in Yorkshire and across the UK, Hibiscus’ courses ensure a high standard of delivery by Sam that goes beyond theory.
A Practical Approach to Dangerous Goods Compliance
Sam’s career has taken him through almost every corner of the Dangerous Goods world… out of this he’s developed a key strength as a DGSA Trainer: the ability to bridge the gap between regulation and application.
Having worked across multiple sectors, he understands the common compliance challenges businesses face.
This approach supports businesses not only in passing DGSA exams, but in building long-term compliance capability.
Meet the Person Behind the Training
Outside of work, Sam’s passion for learning and challenge doesn’t slow down. He’s an avid rock climber, gym enthusiast, and kickboxing trainee who enjoys pushing himself to new limits. Away from the adrenaline, he’s also a big car lover, gamer, and metal-music fan — with Lorna Shore, Orbit Culture, and Sleep Token currently topping his playlists.
At home, Sam’s world includes his two very demanding cats, who keep him on his toes almost as much as his students do!
We’re very pleased to have Sam on board; his extensive experience and enthusiasm for Dangerous Goods training will be a great asset to Hibiscus and to all those taking part in our courses.
