Pioneering Recycling Initiatives
Together with Avery Dennison, we are helping to develop a groundbreaking program to tackle the waste generated by label backing materials, which have historically ended up in landfills. Recognising the environmental damage this causes, we will soon be able to offer a free recycling service for our customers, ensuring that all waste backing is collected and recycled rather than being disposed of.
This project is not only helping to reduce pollution but also contributes to the circular economy by transforming waste into valuable resources.
Responsible Care Day
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Hibiscus is also hosting a Responsible Care Day on November 28th, at our factory in Leeds, for the Chemical Business Association. This event will focus on promoting responsible business practices across the chemical sector. We’ll also be presenting our recycling project with Avery Dennison during the event, showcasing how collaborations like these can drive significant environmental change.
The event will lead directly to the ‘Chemmie’ Awards at the Royal Armouries – right on our doorstep, celebrating excellence and innovation in the chemical industry.
