I think it’s safe to say I have one of the most important jobs at Hibiscus Plc.
Ever since I started coming into the factory my presence has made the workplace a bit more pleasant.
On my work mornings, I can hardly contain my excitement as I rush into the office. The first thing I do? I run around to check in on my colleagues, giving them a few licks and ensuring everyone is doing okay. Emma, our office manager, is always kind enough to treat me with a tasty snack, and I soak up all the cuddles from the team.
While my humans focus on creating high-quality labels for hazardous materials, I help keep the atmosphere relaxed. My calming presence always reminds my humans to take a moment to pause and smile.
Throughout the day, I enjoy plenty of naps, but when I’m woken up for a game of fetch, I’m always up for it!
During meetings, I get to join in as long as our guests are dog-friendly. I approach them to say hello, and it seems my presence often breaks the ice, making conversations flow more easily. It’s satisfying to know I can contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, especially when discussing important topics like chemical labelling compliance.
I have to admit, I might let out the occasional bark in the office. I know it’s not always encouraged, but we have a beautiful garden at Hibiscus, and a little bark is the best way to get my boss to take me out for a stroll! Plus, being a dog-friendly workplace means I get to be part of a growing trend—companies are recognising the benefits of having furry friends around, and I’m proud to represent Hibiscus on the Dog Friendly Office Index.
I do admit to getting a little excited occasionally, particularly when I want to head outside for some fresh air. With plenty of open green space, Hibiscus is perfect for letting off some steam and tiring myself out before returning for an afternoon nap.
