Andrew Ely has been with us over 25 years and is a fully certified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor. As well as providing all this and more at Hibiscus, Andrew can also act as a consultant DGSA for companies who do not wish to appoint someone internally.
Do I need a DGSA?
A Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) must be appointed by any business that regularly ships Dangerous Goods by Road and their duties include an annual report to assess compliance with current regulations and to give advice on any improvements that should be considered. Even if businesses do not ship the goods themselves, but manage the shipments through a third-party, they may still require a DGSA.
You must have a dangerous goods safety adviser (DGSA) if you transport dangerous goods.
What does a DGSA Do?
Monitoring on compliance with the law.
Advising on the transport of dangerous goods and relevant training requirements.
Preparing an annual report of the employers’ activities.
Monitoring a range of procedures and safety measures.
What does a DGSA cost?
Our standard 12-month DGSA support package starts from £750 + VAT for remote assistance. For an internal audit and a support package tailored to your business, prices begin at £1,250 + VAT, with optional training modules available if required.
*Cost subject to discretionary travel expense charge, which is levied based on distance from our Leeds HQ. (See Pricing Map for details)
